Ingredients
- 300g flour
- 210g melted butter
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 70g water
- 2 or 3 apples
- 80g organic orange jam
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Put the flour, butter cut into pieces, sugar and salt into the bowl of your stand mixer. Mix until you get a sandy texture.
- Add the water in a thin stream. Mix until you get a smooth, even dough.
- Roll out the dough on a floured baking sheet.
- Once your dough is about 7 mm thick, line your buttered tin.
- Trim off the excess dough neatly and roll it out into a rectangle. Set aside in the fridge.
- Spread the organic orange jam over the base of the tin, then arrange your thinly sliced apples on top.
- Cut 6 or 7 strips from the remaining dough and weave them into a lattice over the pie. Trim off any excess dough by gently running the rolling pin over the edge.
- Chill for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- Brush the jam over the lattice strips and the edges, sprinkle with brown sugar and bake for 40 minutes.
