Goat cheese and sunflower honey quiche recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 shortcrust pastry
  • 2 tablespoons of our Sunflower Honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 ml of fresh cream (about 20 cl)
  • Approximately 150g of goat cheese, in log form or another shape
  • 2 large yellow onions
  • A pinch of thyme
  • Optional: a few pine nuts

You'll also need a tart pan.

Instructions

- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).

- Start by sautéing the thinly sliced onions in a hot pan until they begin to caramelize, stirring regularly. Add a little water if needed.

- Meanwhile, mix together the fresh cream, eggs, salt, pepper, and optionally a pinch of ground nutmeg.

- Add two tablespoons of Sunflower Honey to the pan with the onions and continue to stir gently.

- Incorporate the caramelized onions into the cream and egg mixture, and stir to combine.

- Roll out the shortcrust pastry slightly and place it in your tart pan. Pour in the prepared mixture, then place the goat cheese in large pieces on top. Sprinkle with thyme and add a few pine nuts if desired.

- Bake at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 25-30 minutes.

Enjoy with a green salad dressed with a delicious balsamic vinegar sauce.

Bon appétit!
